WE'LL MEET AGAIN - 1940S WEEKEND - 21st MARCH
Don't know where, don't know when...

The We'll Meet Again Weekend celebrates the fabulous 1940s and unforgettable 1950s and is a massively popular event for people of all ages. It's held on a holiday park, which means the whole place will be filled with people dressed in period costume and looking fantastic.

The weekend features trade stalls, arts and crafts, military vehicle rides, and loads of entertainment. There's also costume hire on site in case you forget yours. That's not likely to happen though, as people prepare for this event months in advance.

People dress as World War Two soldiers or munitions workers, evacuees or forces sweethearts. If the 1950s is more your thing, what about a classic rock n roll look - or anyone from the cast of Grease? This is a fantastic opportunity to go all out with your fancy dress skills; people pay real attention to detail, down to stockings with the tell-tale line up the back and perfectly coiffured hair.

This fantastic wartime cavalcade show celebrating seventy years since the end of the Second World War is billed as an afternoon variety show that pays tribute to our armed forces. It stars the comedy entertainer Steve Barclay doing impressions of wartime comedians, and ukelele sensation Andy Eastwood. Maggie O'Hara the West End singing sensation is also in attendance, performing the songs of Vera Lynn, Gracie Fields and Ann Shelton. As well as all this, there is comedian and musician Pete Lindup, and Mervyn Francis, a former singer from the Black and White Minstrel Show. This hugely popular afternoon matinee show begins on March 16th in Warrington, playing at theatres all over the UK right through til June. And of course, you can't go to an event like this without a little fancy dress! Whether you go as a soldier or a forces' sweetheart, it's too good an opportunity to miss!
