BACK TO THE 80s FANCY DRESS PARTY - 26th JULY
Time to get down and muddy to the music!
You know you’re a child of the ‘80s when you’re filled with nostalgia at the thought of Pound Puppies, Strawberry Shortcake and the original Fraggle Rock show. Do you ever secretly wish you could crimp your hair, put on some luminous leg warmers and a ra ra skirt, and dance to a bit of Starship? Fret not! We have just the event for you!
The Trentham Estate, near Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire, hosts their fantastic Back to the 80s party on 26th July this year. Fancy dress is actively encouraged - something we absolutely love to hear!
Here at Fancy Dress Ball we love all things ‘80s. We grew up in an era of plastic streamers on our handle bars, playing cards in the spokes and everything neon, fluorescent and Hypercolour (remember those?).
Everyone traded friendship bracelets, but not the slap bracelets after everyone’s parents and schools banned them, and one of your friends knew a girl who knew a girl whose hand had almost been cut off by one! Whenever someone called you a name, you’d say “I know you are, but what am I?” and there was no such thing as too much hair spray - even for the men. Especially for the men!
Dust off your high-tops, find some blue mascara, put some socks on over your tights ... it’s going to be an epic event! Even better, a ticket to this event allows you access to the fabulous Trentham Gardens all day - so you can arrive early in your stone-washed denim jacket and check out the fabulous gardens and lake.
