Did a good job but required lots of groundwork!   - Good

The costume looks good to the untrained eye but is not very accurate to detail... but then it is roughly 20% of the price of the real deal! I don't think, however, that excuses one of the two I ordered arriving with a button missing from the tunic, meaning I had to try and find another one last minute, and as they're quite specific and unique I ended up having to replace the "pocket" buttons with similar ones to get a spare - on both costumes to keep the uniformity! I say "pocket" because they're really just flaps for effect... again, fair enough, it's only a costume. But the ONLY pocket the costume has is a very loose one on the right bum cheek, not even with a flap and definitely not wallet-safe! So I had more groundwork to do in finding a waist wallet (and lets face it, wearing this is likely to be done in a venue that primarily sells alcohol, so cash carrying facilities are a must!) And then there's the gloves. More like clown gloves than dress gloves. Very thin, almost see-through material that barely reached the wrist so they were quite disappointing, especially when they go for £2-3 in the local army surplus store - when they've got them in! The hat wasn't the best either... maybe I'm being too picky now but the only thing making the top flat is a plastic ring that's not secured to the rim so the hat looks more like something a NYPD cop or a milkman would wear. With a bit of work this can be rectified by stitch-tacking the ring to the seam so the top remains tight but you won't get an iron in there! The other minor gripe I had was the ironing! It definitely needed the creases removing after p&p but there were no instructions either not to or how to iron them out, so that was a bit nerve-wracking! In the end after some careful steamwork and half a tin of starch on the shoulderboards it was looking fairly shipshape! All-in-all though and in the end the costumes worked quite well. They achieved the desired effect and serve their purpose well - albeit after needing a few "finishing touches"!

Great Value for money   - Excellent

This outfit is one of the best value for money fancy dress items I have bought in a good few years. It really is an out-of-the-bag and your ready to go costume. The quality of the item is very good for the price, the hat is comfy to wear all night, and you don't over heat in the outfit. If I had to find a complaint about it... No pocket to put your phone in, but even then I would not class that as a complaint. To sum up, don't bother with the cheaper versions. Buy this and have something that will last!
