Gay Pride is often also called LGBT Pride, and it's seen as a positive stance against discrimination and violence towards lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. When the marches first started, they were quite militant, heated affairs with a lot of opposition and discord but as times have changed the marches have become more of a celebration. In fact, Pride in London is no longer just a parade; it's a full-on festival running from June 10-26, with the main weekend on the 25th and 26th. The parade itself is on the 25th but there's also Pride at Night and Pride in the Park. This year, it's been announced that the Red Arrows will fly over Pride in London, which is sure to be amazing. The entire event will be nothing short of epic. There are always outstanding costumes in the parade and we're really looking forward to seeing just how they can possibly top last year's spectacular event.
