Madonna practically funded the accessories industry in the 80s by wearing single earrings, fluorescent beads, and plum coloured hair. She was a female fashion icon and girls across the world copied her penchant for fingerless gloves, tight laced corsets and fishnet tights.
Make-up
80s make-up was characterised by bold, pink cheek bones and painted eyes. Any colour of eyeshadow would do, with bright blues and greens being favourites. Eyeliner was plentiful and shiny red lipstick was a given.
